Sonja and Max’s wedding was a vibrant, whimsical celebration, inspired by Fleur Delacour and Bill Weasley’s magical wedding, with a cinematic flair reminiscent of Wes Anderson’s unique artistic style.
As the bride explains, ‘We envisioned a vibrant and colorful wedding to reflect the joy of our celebration, while honoring the timeless elegance of New England and the Ocean House. With its charming yellow façade and the Bemelmans exhibit, the venue radiates a whimsical spirit, which we embraced throughout our special day.’
Bride Sonja also mentioned how they infused personal touches into the design, like the yellow ranunculus on Max’s boutonniere as a tribute to our beloved dog, Buttercup. The coral charm peonies were a heartfelt nod to her great-grandfather, Martin Eliason, who helped develop a similar variety, the Le Charm Peony. To complete the look, they decorated the tent with vibrant, custom buntings!
